fionaGlen Art was founded by Fiona MacDonald, an opera singer from Arisaig. Over the last ten years Fiona has been involved in performing and organising events for mainly military charities, including Poppy Scotland, Erskine, The Afghanistan Trust and Combat Stress. Fiona was inspired to become involved in fundraising by her great aunt Mary McKinnon, whose name appears on the Arisaig War Memorial. Mary McKinnon was a nurse, who died when the hospital ship she was on, The Glenart Castle, was torpedoed in the Bristol Channel in 1918.
