GLEN ART helps those from a military background return to civilian life. Our projects and artistic events bring people together and strengthen relationships between ex-service personnel and their communities. Funds raised provide direct and prompt assistance to those in hardship.


The Duke of Cambridge delivers a speech during a visit to Norway this week

Glen Art are honoured to officially support the Poem to Remember competition. We join The Poetry Society, Poet in the City, The War Poets Association, The Wilfred Owen Association, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, Help for Heroes, The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Style for Soldiers, and Walking with the Wounded.

Part of our support will be organising poetry workshops for entrants with our friends at the Wilfred Owen Association.

ARISAIG VOICES OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR
A performance of Requiem with Gabriel Faure ~ with readings of poems and letters.

St Mary’s Church, Arisaig, February 25th at 4pm

Commemorating the centenary of the sinking of the Hospital Ship
The Glenart Castle in February 1918.

Join us to commemorate the lives of all those from this village who served in the First World War andthe life of Nurse Mary Mckinnon who died on the Glenart Castle.

This is a free concert and all donations will be used to support St Mary’s Church and the elderly people of Arisaig.
